Because Indomitus takes place in such a massive world, the game is divided into several main interfaces. Each interface provides access to different information and functions to allow you to better manage your growing empire. It will help you get started if you first familiarize yourself with each of the interfaces described below.

- You can see hundreds of cities divided across 9 different regions on the world map. Hundreds of players can open manors in each city, making conquering
- Cities are connected by a visible network of roads that show which cities your squads can march between.
- City icons on the map come in seven different sizes, each easily recognized by the unique icon. You can also identify which Tribe controls each city by the flag flown next to the icon. All cities outside of Capitals start out neutral, flying grey flags.

- You can view a city’s details by hovering your mouse over the city icon. The resource icons and numbers at the top represent the number of +100% output specialty lots in manors created there.

- Minimap

- View all cities easily (each tribe is represented by a unique color)
- Cities with your manors have a green border
- Cities owned by your Tribe have a blue border
- Cities under attack will display a flashing red border
- Check “Show Strategy Markers” to see strategies posted by your Guild Commander.

- Your Manors are where you engage in domestic development, gather resources, build units, and rally squads.

- The three city interfaces (Manor, City, and Battlefield) all have information panels that display on the right side of the screen. Get an overview of your manor resource output or view units and squads here.

Click a city icon and “Enter” a city from the world map, or click the “City” tab at the top of a manor information panel to view the City Interface and all the buildings inside. At the City Screen you can recruit Heroes, level Heroes, buy equipment, participate in challenges for rewards, or dispatch heroes to improve the city. Improving a city will grant significant experience to your heroes while strengthening the city’s economic and military prowess.

Altar of Heroes:
- Summon heroes directly from the ethers of the netherworld to fight for your cause.

Post House:
- Dispatch your Heroes here to improve roads and contribute Transit. Transit will increase march speed for all friendly squads deploying to and from this city.
- Instantly deliver resources from one manor to another, for a small fee.

Market:
- Dispatch your Heroes here to expand the market and contribute Commerce. Commerce will increase silver output for all manors built in the city and increase the food reserves capacity.
- Exchange gold for resources here.

Watchtower:
- Dispatch your Heroes here to patrol the city and contribute Order. Order will increase the effect of future city improvements and increase the city’s maximum deployment limit.

Food Reserves:
- Donate food to the city reserves here. Food in the reserves will be consumed automatically by defenders without food provisions when the city is attacked.

Black Market:
- Purchase gear for your heroes or scout for ability training scrolls here. You can also exchange training scrolls for higher level training scrolls here.

City Wall:
- Dispatch your Heroes here to repair the city walls and contribute City Defense. City Defense will increase the defense of squads defending the city during an attack.

Amphitheatre:
- Send heroes here for training to earn experience and increase their level.

Castle:
- This is the administrative center of any city, where the governor makes orders, and where Guilds go to vie for influence.

Town Square:
- The governor can post important information here for the whole Tribe to see.

Hall of Trials:
- Challenge your wit and your skill with a bow here. Receive rewards for stand-out performances!

- The city information panel shows all details about the city. Pay special attention to the Min. Rank value, if your current rank does not meet the level displayed here, you will be unable to create a Manor in the city! Hover your cursor over each of the city improvement values (Commerce, City Def., Transit, Order) to see detailed explanations.
- Click “Bandit Blowout” to dispatch squads in the city to take on Bandits plaguing your manor. If you’re victorious, you can increase both resource output and recruit speed in your manor.

- When a city is attacked, you can only view this interface for the duration of the battle. Squads arriving will appear automatically on the battlefield at the beginning of the round. If there are enemies present (attacking or defending), Squads will automatically enter the battle. Watch the battle unfold before your eyes!
- Various features appear on the battlefield, representing tactical targets for both defending and attacking armies to target.
Pass:
- Any Squads arriving at a city appear at the pass in the same direction as the city they deployed from. It’s important for defending armies to identify which pass attackers will arrive at and adjust Squad positions appropriately.
Market:
- Damaging the Market will reduce Commerce, reducing the silver output of manors in the city and, more importantly, lowering the capacity of the defender’s food reserves.
Post House:
- Damaging the Post House will reduce Transit, lengthening the march time required for defending reinforcements to reach the city.
Watch Tower:
- Damaging the Watchtower will reduce Order, reducing efficiency of future city improvements and reducing the city’s deployment limit in the case the defenders deploy a counter-attack.
City Walls:
- City Walls improve the defensive prowess of defenders, especially for defending Infantry or Archer Squads garrisoned on top of the walls. Destroying the City Walls will eliminate this advantage.
Gate:
- Provides city wall bonuses for squads composed of unit types unable to fight atop the city wall (Siege & Cavalry). Squads garrisoned in the city must leave through a gate while the city walls remain standing.

- The battlefield information panel shows a mini map of squad distribution, as well as a colored “Tide of Battle” measure displaying the relative unit numbers fielded by each side. Pay special attention to the "Rank", if your Rank doesn’t meet the level displayed here you will be unable to view the Squads garrisoned in the city until a battle breaks out.
